The current document is the public, summarised version of the Mid Term report of the MARMONI project that includes an overview of the project activities carried out and results achieved during the first 23 months of the project (01/10/2010 – 31/08/2012). On 15-16 November, 2012, about 70 participants from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden, Finland, Germany and Ireland took part in the seminar on Marine Strategy Framework Directive implementation organised within the MARMONI Project. The seminar gathered stakeholders from various sectors, both environmental and non-environmental. More detailed infomation, agenda and presentations please find under the chapter “Events”

This workshop is a chance for the implementing actors of the Marine Strategy Framework Directive to present their results, exchange viewpoints on the problems, shortcomings and improve them by July 2012. Target group: competent authorities involved in the implementation of the MSFD, including non-environmental sectors. Meeting was held on 18-20 April, 2012 and this time we met in Jūrmala City, Latvia to take an overview on the project’s progress and discuss further activities.
